Our Story
Our story begins in the Sunni Triangle in 2004. Hopefully, it won't end there. We are, loosely, a bunch of Spec4 Mafia types in a specialized Airborne Infantry unit; we're all in teams and like it that way. We've been OPCON'd to more units during OIF than we can necessarily recall and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly (well, actually, we didn't see all that much of the good).
The PX never carried cool shirts, so we always talked about making our own. That got us nowhere, until we had a revelation: You don't hear Joe say "Hooah" much over here. The reason was obvious: this garrison war, our OIF FTX, was truly "enough to suck the Hooah out of you." Our slogan was born, our name was obvious, and our future ours to make.
DD214ops tries to introduce a little irreverence into the typical OIF apparel. We figure the Army's mismanagement of priorities is contributory negligence to the out-flux of manpower, and our role is to give voice to the silent majority who love their country but still embark upon the Operation to claim that elusive DD214. We hope we speak for you. Tell us if we do, please.
We pay homage to those who are no longer with us, who gave the full measure of their devotion. In appreciation, a portion of the proceeds of all sales are donated to a non-profit charity that supports the educational future of the children of fallen soldiers.
